When you upload or paste your CV into JobGenie, we store it securely on our servers (hosted by DigitalOcean). Your CV may include personal information such as your name, contact details, work history, education, and other information you choose to include.

You may delete your stored CV at any time from your account dashboard. We automatically delete CV data after six months of account inactivity.

1.2 Account Information

To use JobGenie, users can sign up using:

• Google Sign-In, or
• an email address and password.

We store your email address to create and manage your account. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive your name and email address from Google to identify your account.

1.3 Payment Information

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. JobGenie does not store or have access to your credit or debit card information. Stripe processes this data in accordance with its own Privacy Policy.

1.4 Marketing Information

If you join our waitlist, create an account, or make a purchase, we may use your email to send you updates, offers, or marketing messages related to JobGenie. You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time by following the link in our emails.

1.5 Technical Data

We collect limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, and usage statistics to maintain security, improve functionality, and understand how the Service is used.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Generate tailored CVs and documents via our AI system.
• Provide and improve our Service.
• Manage your account and communicate with you.
• Process payments and subscriptions through Stripe.
• Send marketing updates (if you have not opted out).

3. AI Processing (OpenAI)

When generating rewritten CVs, JobGenie sends relevant text content (including information you provide in your CV) to the OpenAI API for processing.

4. Data Retention

• CVs: retained up to six months after account inactivity or until deleted by the user.
• Account data: retained while your account is active or as required by law.
• Payment records: retained as required for financial compliance.

• Request a copy of your stored information.
• Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.

• Stripe, to process payments.

JobGenie operates from the United Kingdom, but data may be processed in other regions where our service providers (e.g., OpenAI or Stripe) operate. We ensure adequate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.

JobGenie is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
